What your AI can see

Your AI acts as you, so it sees only what you can open in AlianHub. This page explains where that line sits, and how chat is kept apart.

Only what you can open

  • If you cannot open a project, your AI cannot read it or change it.
  • A list that is hidden from you is hidden from your AI.
  • Someone else's personal list is not shown to it. This holds even if you are an owner or admin.
  • A doc is read if you can open it, or if it was shared with you by name.
  • A change is made only if your role lets you make it.

If you made a token and chose certain projects, your AI sees only those projects.

Chat only if you allow it

Your AI reads no chat unless you ticked Read chat when you connected it. See Connect your AI app.

With it, your AI can see:

  • The chat channels you are in.
  • The recent messages of a channel, or of a task's thread, that you can open.

It never reads your direct messages. A token kept to certain projects reads no chat channels at all.

Text is never an order

What people write in tasks, docs, comments and chat is something your AI reads, never an instruction it must follow. AlianHub tells every connected AI app this when it connects.

After it reads

What your AI app reads goes into your chat with that app. From then on, the app's own rules apply to it.
